Alone in the dark i sit

With imagination of my future i see

Stuck in my own beliefs

Scared to face the light

Yet eager to be the ONE

Across the wall i hide

Closing my ears to hear the sounds

Sounds of encouragement

That could only waste my time

With fear to stand up

I could feel my feet tremble

Another day, another week and keep counting

Same corner i sleep, same food and same house

Checking in out and out the color of the world

With seasons that pass by

Still old i grow with same beliefs i hold.

Until i realized, i am not growing any older

Rather young in my mind and older in my body

For a good future, equal should the mind and the body be

Today i get out with new version and definition of light

Today i change the cloths and the look from my past

Today i become a new child to the world

With new ways and new beliefs

Leaving behind myself old me

Now striving to make a new LIFE

To become the only ONE i intend to be

The First Step is always the Hardest.

First Step Is the hardest.

We are driven by set of wishes in life, wish to become better and better every day, wish to have a nice car, nice house, have a family, live by the sea, travel to see the world, become a very famous singer or an artist or a football player or anything that our hearts desire.

It is very positive to have such wishes because without them, we can’t say we have a future. I have had so many wishes myself that I have not had all of them. It’s Okay, there are still days to achieve them.

However, I have come to learn that, wishes will only remain wishes if we don’t dream them, want them and work towards them. We have come through many instances in life that we tried many things, few failed and some succeed. Sometimes we become slaves of our own ideals. Without commitments and dedications towards our wishes, we will always have them without accomplishing them.

In reality, we cannot become what we have not dreamed of and work towards them, remember a dream is a map that leads most of us to success.

Be able to learn what you really want, dream it, work it then become it. Without such commitments, you will be wasting your time.

Success comes from hard working and be smart and protect our own, if we can’t be strong enough to take the very first step towards our dreams, we will always remain where we are.

Have the courage to very first step ahead.

Quote of the Day.

Be Happy to do what makes you happy and not what makes them Happy.
“I was told to stand down many times by people who couldn’t do what i do; I happily ignored their opinion and i never judged them. I simply tried to understand their reasoning. What i found out has placed me where i am today. “
Never judge people for whatever they do, say or present in front of your eyes, understand them better for you to help me.
Be willing to accept where you have gone wrong and change.

Don’t Quit

Photo | Internet

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,

When funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.

When care is pressing you down a bit.

Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns

As every one of us sometimes learns.

And many failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are.

It may be near when it seems so far

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit

It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

My Life in Poetry ( Part Three)

One night, as darkness covered the world

With no weird sights

Tired of breathing for someone else

Sending out flares of tears

Holding into a dying hope of living

Anxiously waiting for the morning

A watch wasn’t helping

Time stopped as my heartbeat

Breathless I was, with fear of reaching out

Reaching to the world that I had set in my fantasy world

Skinned and scared little boy I was

Working in the middle of gunmen

Worried if a brighter day was to come

Before a bullet through my heart

Torn were my clothes

With a strangled faith in my hand

No clue a life wouldn’t be equal to any of its size

I mean if a life is life should be life for everyone

Of course it is, but the course of such life

Is set on different course to follow

All at once with objectives

Fall to cross on the lines set to surpass

Mine was close, close to morning

A morning of hope and beautiful dreams

Was a package full of life wisdom and hope

A sunrise that passed through the beat of a heart

That pumped blood to setting the rest free

Next day was remarkable

Putting biro on desk with lots of movements

Different styles with Fashion

Arguments and discussions that put out of place

Not knowledged I was, scared to walk in

join and learn, learn to stand alone

Eventually, a dream came true

And that was the truth

Truth to a promised life out of the box

That could easily set a chosen path by fate

Scrambled safely with  noises and yet it was beautiful

Beauty that still shines in me until today.

To be continued….

My Life in Poetry ( Part One)

I was told that in life you can’t make it alone

I believed and I was deeply immersed in such notice

My thoughts got caught up in the moment

Since then I became a victim, a victim of other people’s world

I totally forgot that life is independently owned

And success is through ones effort and determination

Not long ago when I realized I had lost my future for being so coward

Coward to listen to people’s fear of life and go along with it

Listen to what others said about life and made them my life

Not quite possible to move on alone I said

I was wrong, wrong to live under their shadow

Stay with them, live with them, laugh at the same joke

Eat same food and wear same clothes

I was in the dark

One night, one night when I got back from school

School that taught me a lot in the beginning but never told life is individually owned

Leaving such stage to another and I was told I couldn’t do it all alone

Disappointment’s, and anger embarked my heart, breathing heavily I did

Confused and scared little boy I said, it’s enough, enough of all it

Enough of living other people’s life and decided to live my own

Tired of stepping on other people’s fear and started facing my own

I understood the hardship I was to go through

Yet I felt strength pursuing what I wanted to achieve

Struggled through myself in the dark not seeing myself in college

Was the fear I had for my life to end there

To be Continued….

I shall forever live me…

It has happened in many scenarios in life that we admire other people’s lives and at times spend most of our free times reading, blogging, researching and updating ourselves about them, It’s a good thing that we have people around to inspire us and show us that everything is possible.

Despite the physical assurance that everything is possible we are not willing to change and live the life we all most desire. Desire to live a happy life, be content with little we have.

The truth about it is despite how many times we try to live as how others have inspired us, life will always be different.

Learn, understand  and live your dream… Our lives are our responsibility. Be creative, content and accept the level of life we are, strive hard to make your life’s dream a reality, without such courage to pursue our own dreams and make the path of our lives visible, we will always be blinded by the same dreams in our hands.

Its time to realize that One can only live a life differently from another despite the alikeness.

Say it aloud “ I can only live me and forever I shall cherish its beauty”

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be – brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You’re playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so small that others won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory that is within us. It’s not just in us, it’s in everyone. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

By Nelson Mandela

Grow up to be the Person you want to be.

We are 7 Billion people in the world, One world with so many ambitions people make everyday. People choose their paths and make them visible for the world see and that`s when some find their role modals, people that inspire us in some ways, but again there are those whose lives will be discouraging what others are doing everyday.

We can`t avoid such people in our lives, they live with us, eat with us, play with us and even pray with us. We are all placed in the same swimming pool, we share the water and we cant avoid it.

At the same time, we have those who inspire us whose lives have also grown within the same society and succeed, they now live the dream.

With such example, it is a bullet proof that we all can grow up and become that one person who inspire others in a good way, change other people`s lives, grow up to be the person that someone would love to be in your shoes.

We all can make it if only we realize how worthy and important we are in the world, stand up for what is right, change all unnecessary need to better choices, raise the bars of your success and stop pointing fingers to someone blaming them for who you are.

The choice of whoever you want to become is in your hands alone not even in the hands of your parents, guardians or anyone around. You have a right to choose and become your own master.

We are all meant to become someone great however it depends how far you want to go.

Control your Attitude

Motivational Quotes #371

An expression of favor or disfavor toward a thing or a person is what determines how life is or might become. We eventually make it in our own hands yet tend to put on someone else shoulders.

An example: When you wake up in the morning, getting ready for job unfortunately when having breakfast with your family, your son drops a cup of coffee on your shirt, what would be your reaction?

Would you shout to the child or go change it and continue with your day?

Attitude 3

The same way we react to small matters determines how we live our life, Might not be too impressing but it is changeable. Realize your attitude and how it affects your daily activities.

Attitude 1

At times our attitude might be affected by the environment we live or kind of people we live with in our life time however none of them reason might be the cause of your own attitude.

You are in position to maintain your attitude in your life, if keeping blames on someone else to be the reason of the attitude you now hold helps be calm, your life will always at stake.

Being or not being stressed depends on how you treat yourself. Reacting negatively to everything we face will not do you good at all instead will kill you slowly inside.

Learn to control your attitude towards your own life. Life is so precious when our attitudes are right.

A lesson from a donkey

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well.
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well.
He was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt.
The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.
Each of our troubles is a steppingstone.
We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up.
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries – Most never happens.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less from people but -more from God.
You have two choices…smile and close this page, or pass this along to someone else to share the lesson !!-
"Being happy doesn’t mean everything’s perfect. It means you’ve decided to see beyond the imperfections

Your Dreams + Determination + Choices = your life.

keep going turtles

I have seen so many distracted people who initially had the very positive goals towards changing their lives, i understand that life has been so hard to most of us but i never allowed it to give me a reason to give up.

During my college period, my life had a purpose to complete my degree as we all are and that`s the main reason why we go to college rights? In 2009 i enrolled in a linguistic class here in Tanzania. My class had only 300 hundred students from different regions who were brough together by education, nevertheless each one of them had his/her life to take care of.

Well by then nothing seemed do right, we are human so we basically face a lot of challenges to making us stronger. It reached a moment, i though of quitting the college for sure and at that moment one of classmate had done that already so i decided to stay though life was so hard.

I came a cross an article of Nelson Mandela “Our deepest fear”

Our deepest

I thought twice of what was my biggest fear and i realized that i was afraid of my own life, i was afraid to handle because some of other people had abandoned and i though in some ways maybe the road i have chosen was so perfect. Then i heard a call from my cousin sis and she told, “ God gives us what we can handle”  then i realized that no matter what happens My life will always be my life, i can not be so afraid to pursue what i want and find ways to make it all alive because of other people`s thought.

I started making my own choices and have my life, despite that life was not so pleasing but it was fun, i had to do what i wanted to do at anytime of my choice.

Start where you are - use what you have - Do what you can - Arthur Ashe

I then made my life my best friend, i never thought of giving up and at that moment, i realized how far a mind can go when you determine to achieve something and make use of your life.

The life we live is the only gift given to oneself by God, never let any circumstance destroy your dream, set your goals, pursue them if they all go against every one around you, as long as they are your own dreams make them colorful.

Life is too short, never give up on your dreams.

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.

I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size

But when I start to tell them,

They think I’m telling lies.

I say,

It’s in the reach of my arms,

The span of my hips,

The stride of my step,

The curl of my lips.

I’m a woman

Phenomenal woman,

That’s me.

I walk into a room

Just as cool as you please,

And to a man,

The fellows stand or

Fall down on their knees.

Then they swarm around me,

A hive of honey bees.

I say,

It’s the fire in my eyes,

And the flash of my teeth,

The swing in my waist,

And the joy in my feet.

I’m a woman

Phenomenal woman,

That’s me.

Men themselves have wondered

What they see in me.

They try so much

But they can’t touch

My inner mystery.

When I try to show them,

They say they still can’t see.

I say,

It’s in the arch of my back,

The sun of my smile,

The ride of my breasts,

The grace of my style.

I’m a woman

Phenomenal woman,

That’s me.

Now you understand

Just why my head’s not bowed.

I don’t shout or jump about

Or have to talk real loud.

When you see me passing,

It ought to make you proud.

I say,

It’s in the click of my heels,

The bend of my hair,

The palm of my hand,

The need for my care.

’Cause I’m a woman

Phenomenal woman,

That’s me.

In Loving Memory  Of Maya Angelou

I disrespected…

Used to live alone with a sense of fear

Alone I couldn’t survive but alone was all I could afford

Fear was best friend

Voices were loud in my head telling me

I am a coward unfortunately I embraced that feeling

Made it my own until it all started

All started when I used to let all that I knew

All that I wanted to be into someone else`s hand

My disrespect to all that despised my feelings, ability and my rights of being human

I hated being in the crowd

Alone in a room was my moments to remember

My head down, voice low, hide my true me

I was afraid of being noticed and fail to recognize my name

Slowly I was sick

Sick of all social life that necessarily had to go through

A life that everyone would push towards to

I could not understand, but fear told me all was alright

My room, my rules

Not even my parents could let me out

But again, it started to be boring

Boring to the point I started to disrespect my decision

Decision to lock myself in

Words that could hurt my own feelings

I disrespected all that stopped me from doing

I started believing in my own

I was tired of being bullied

Buried under the roof and being called names

Now was the time, time to use all my weakness

Turn them into my strength

Strategize and enforce all around

To understand what living a life means

Disrespect my own fear, was my own liberation

You should do the same.

Its either now or never : I`m Too Young to Die

It was before i stepped out of the room when i heard a heard voice calling my name, i was not even sure if my name was the one called and spotted from the crowd of wonderful and determined group of talented individuals.

I nearly actually forgot that i already signed up for a stand up poem reciting, it wasn`t a competition but it looked like one when every one who went on stage was as better than the previous one.

I struggled to understand what i actually had in mind before i start presenting my own short poem that i wrote within five minutes when i entered the stand up poem reciting room.

Every one seemed so content and that gave me the courage to stand, despite being scared what other people would think of my poem which was

“Hard times are coming

the beginning of the battle

soon you must tie your shoe lace

many comes with the same aim

shooting for your replacement

fighting is the sole way

I’m still too young to die

poorly the light of the future burns

ashes block our eyes

who is to clean the mess, the roads to clean

remain of the veterans, claim for their rights

their wishes and ambition died right after

who is to take the dying wishes to paradise?

i`m still too young to die

whoever tried, ended up in hands of the few

no democracy and rights to live

choices are made by strong people

that we follow what they say

they become fat for our works

production of our own we get nothing out of it

who is to protect our production?

I’m still to young to die

few take offices for the hidden interests

education look for a patriot to take

no one seems strong,to take it to the field

it is being used for personal stuff

is it really the meaning of it

tree fruits encourages many

knowing not that they are seasonally

many brave minds are blocked , who is to unblock them?

I`m still too young to die

some strength died for many blood

spirits that left them have no home

looking for a successor no one comes

fear of death engrave our rights

corrupt of leaders ,poverty prevails

revolution is the solution

new faces on the island,.save us all

who is to take us all into that island?

I’m still too young to die.”

Well, afterward the crowd clapped at last, thought it was lame for every one to ditch the truth that we are all living, the truth that we do not owe anyone anything but ourselves.

Time to letting ourselves stand and fight for what we believe in instead of fighting so hard to achieve someone else dream, it feels irresponsible pushing someone too hard towards something they do not often get along with. The reality will always prevail, you cant grow seed on the tarmac road is the truth and that will never change.

Its time to stand up now and do what makes you happy, remember, we all are too young to die, Live your moments, its either now or never.

An Office Boy

A jobless man applied for the position of ‘office boy’ at a very big company.

The employer interviewed him, then a test: clean the floor.

“You are hired.” – the employer said. ”Give me your email address, and I’ll send you the application to fill, as well as when you will start.”

The man replied, “I don’t have a computer, neither an email.”

“I’m sorry,” said the employer, “if you don’t have an email that means you do not exist. And who doesn’t exist, cannot have the job.”

The man left with no hope. He didn’t know what to do, with only $10 USD in his pocket.

He then decided to go to the supermarket, bought a 10kg tomato crate, then sold the tomatoes door to door. In less than two hours, he succeeded and doubled his capital.

He repeated the operation 3 times and returned home with $60 USD. The man realized that he could survive by this way, and started to go every day earlier, and returned late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled every day. Shortly later, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.

Five years later, the man’s company was one of the biggest food retailers. He started to plan his family’s future, and decided to have a life insurance.

He called an insurance broker and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him his email. The man replied: “I don’t have an email.”

The broker replied curiously, “You don’t have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Do you imagine what you could have done if you had an email?”

The man paused for a while, and replied: “An office boy!”

Live your worthy self life…

Life at times becomes hell, so scared of our own initiatives, anything we want to start and make it in the list of our success becomes the obstacles to our own vision because we are scared. At last the only alternative we embrace is living under someone`s dream. Listen and do all that they tell us to do.

When you come to open your eyes, it becomes too late and spend the regretful life.

Realize your potential today and start depending on yourself. Life is to short to spend it in someone`s. go out and grab the opportunity that put smiles on your face.

What i know is….

For ages i spent times in school seriously studying, believing it was the only way to redeem myself from so called “Poverty”. However, it was quite challenging because the intelligence of individual was assessed by examination, test and quizes that at the end of every lesson/ topic.
By then, i had no complain az it was all the system not until i came to realize that at some point that was not quite right. I mean look around.
It is suggested that during childhood ages, the ability of creativity is very hight and that is the time to realize what someone is capable of doing and be passionate about it.
Unfortunately… we were all put in under one carriculum that recruited us all to learn the same thing while growing up, i mean people have different talents and they could be their career.
What i know is education is widening the knowledge and prepare children to face the world when they grow up. Inspite of teaching them same thing while they have different talents after ending their times in school. I suggest creativity should be treated equaly with academic inteligence.

Fear of the Unknown

Have you ever been afraid to try something new? Why? Didn’t think you could do it or learn how to do it? May I suggest that we all have doubts and fears about our abilities and sometimes, we just choose not to try and stay with what we know. We choose to play it safe. And that’s okay, if that’s what you truly want.

But if you feel that need for more, maybe it’s time to step out of your comfort zone. Maybe it’s time to try something new. Maybe it’s time to give yourself the opportunity to grow and discover something deeper about yourself that will help you in life.

I hope the following stories and ideas will illustrate what others experienced and learned about themselves in the process.

If you choose to step out of your comfort zone, do it with the expectation of success.
I believe you can do it. You just have to believe you can do it too.
